Day 1. Riga
Arrival in Riga. Transfer to a hotel. Dinner. In the evening, dinner will be waiting for you in the traditional Latvian restaurant. Evening activities on request. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2. Riga - Rundale Palace and Park
Breakfast. After breakfast walking tour of the Old Town of Riga who is designated UNESCO World Heritage site. In Old town you will see remarkable sites: St.Peter's Church (800 year old), St.Jacobs Church - is one of the oldest churches in Riga constructed in Gothic and Romanesque styles, Dom Square and Dom Cathedral, home to one of the world's most precious historic organs. After you will know about the oldest stone residential apartments in Riga, the Three Brothers, the Great and Small Guilds, and the fort wall of Riga with the Swedish Gate the last standing gate in the wall. The guide will present you the story of the Cat House and show you Town Hall Square with the fabulous and stylish Blackheads House. Lunch time. Afternoon tour Rundale Palace and Park where you will visit amazing baroque ensemble of Rundale, which in Latvia is also called “Little Versailles”. This palace was designed by Italian architect F. B. Rastreli, who created the famous Hermitage palace in St. Petersburg. At the moment, in the palace are big art collection. Near the castle is located a beautiful park. Return to Riga. Dinner and optional evening activities. In the evening free time for enjoying the Riga by yourself - plenty of bars, clubs, casinos here are for all tastes. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3. Riga - Saaremaa Island
Breakfast. After breakfast drive to Kuressaare, the only town in the island of Saaremaa. En route short stop to the Estonian summer resort of Parnu. Sunny Parnu has been the official summer capital of Estonia for many years! It is a popular summer vacation resort with many hotels, restaurants, and large beaches. Lunch time. Short ferry ride to Muhu Island and further drive to Saaremaa with a stop at the village of Koguva. Koguva village is ancient and the famous fishing village and marina have been here since times immemorial. Tour of Saaremaa Island: Angla windmills, where five wooden windmills constructed at the end of the 20th century are open to the public. Karja church, the smallest church in the island, also it is the most beautiful of the churches in Saaremaa with a lot of remaining medieval interior details. Kaali crater, where a meteorite left its mark a few thousand years ago; and other sights. Evening arrival to Kuressaare. Dinner and optional evening activities. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4. Saaremaa Island - Tallinn
Breakfast. After breakfast tour of Kuressaare. Kuressaare is the only town on Estonia’s largest island Saaremaa. City offers for tourists visitors to see a medieval fortress, there are plenty of cosy cafés, a rich cultural scene, not a few spa and wellness centres, a remarkable island atmosphere and it has amazing beaches. Lunch time. Drive to Hiiumaa, the second largest Estonian island. Fast ferry ride and then drive in Hiiumaa, visiting the Kõpu lighthouse which is built at 67 metres above sea level. Kõpu is the third oldest constantly operating lighthouse in the world. After travel and visit to the village of Tahkuna for a beautiful view of Tahkuna nose, lighthouse and stone labyrinth. Further drive and a quisk ferry ride to Haapsalu where another Episcopal castle also known as Kuressaare Castle, who was built in the 14th century. Today, the Castle houses Saaremaa Museum with its regular exhibition and various temporary shows. After drive to Tallinn. Evening arrival to a hotel in Tallinn. Dinner and optional evening activities. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5. Tallinn
Breakfast. After breakfast walking tour in the UNESCO heritage listed Tallinn Old Town. During the tour, you will see the best of both medieval and up-to-date parts of Tallinn. You can enjoy plenty of marvels through various eras and a quiet walk through stories worth of several centuries. Explore Holy Spirit Church that was built in the 14th century is one of the oldest and finest structures in Tallinn. The 600 years old Gothic Town Hall. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral is an orthodox cathedral. The world`s oldest functioning Pharmacy on Town Hall Square and the 159 m. tall Oleveste Church which was the highest construction in the world in the 16th century. The tour ends near Toompea Hill for amazing views over the city. Toompea Castle was built in the 13th and 14th centuries and is the seat of Estonia's parliament. Lunch time. In the afternoon an optional excursion is offered to Kadriorg Park and visit to KUMU, the award-winning new Estonian art museum, with its collections of classic and contemporary fine art. Late on, arrival in Estonia's capital the city already counting 850 years. Tallinn is the oldest capital in Northern Europe. Dinner and optional evening activities. Free time for enjoying the Tallinn by yourself. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6. Tallinn - Sigulda
Breakfast. After breakfast drive to Sigulda. En route stop in Tartu, the second largest city in Estonia. Tour of Tartu: Tartu University; various sculptures and bridges; ruins of the old cathedral; St. John’s Church; Town Hall Square; and other sights. Lunch time. After drive to Sigulda which is one of the most amazing and most visited tourist cities in Latvia. Sigulda still known as "Switzerland". Discover historic museums, monuments and natural objects around Sigulda. If it is possible. Adventure lovers, we offer Sigulda luge and bobsled track. This is a unique opportunity to land the biggest Baltic bobsleigh track (length - 1200 m, height - 121 m, reaching 125 km / m speed). Dinner and optional evening activities. Free time for enjoying by yourself. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7. Sigulda - Gauja National Park - Riga
Breakfast. After breakfast drive walking through the stunning Gauja River valley and along Gutmanis and Devil's caves which are wrapped in many legends. These caves are the deepest internal erosion cave in the Baltic states, measuring 19m deep, 12m wide and 10m high. Gauja National Park pride - the majestic Turaida Castle nuild in thirteenth century. You can visit the castle, from which opens beautiful panoramic view and other sights. Lunch time. Departure to Riga. Dinner and optional evening activities. Free time for enjoying by yourself. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 8. Riga
Breakfast. After breakfast departure to Riga airport. End of the journey.
