Livonian Order Castle

The Livonian Order Castle in Ventspils is one of the oldest medieval castle that has existed to this day. In 1290 the castle was first mentoned and this date is now believe to be the year of Ventspils’ basis. There are plenty of educational programs. The museum also organizes on a regular basis art and historical exhibitions, as well as concerts and other cultural events.


Ventspils Narrow Gauge Train

A row of passenger carriages are pulled by a 1916 steam engine. Ventspils narrow gauge railway consists of two lines: Circle line – 1,4 km and Mountain line – 3,0 km. Ventspils railway was built by the German Army during the First World War, connecting Ventspils with the fishing villages along the coast.


Ventspils Adventure Park

It doesn’t matter that you young or old, climbing, swinging, turning, sliding and rolling are just some of the activities which are open to the Ventspils Adventure Park visitors. The Adventure Park has highly enlarged to include new rides and attractions.


Ventspils Planetarium and Observatory

The planetarium and observatory is not only meant to satisfy the knowledge and curiosity of students, it will also be used as a summer school for astronomers. Latvia’s largest and most modern digital planetarium in the Baltic region. The observatory is provided with a high quality telescope, which can be used by any tourists to view planets.


Ventpsils Water Amusement Park

In complex are available water attractions like children pool with forms – snake, birds and mushrooms, pool with 4 horizontal water massage jets, water cascade and back-stream, imitation wave pool, where waves act periodically.

For clients these are also available: sauna complex with Turkish and steam bathhouses, 2 saunas, salt room, cold pool, 2 massage showers, soft ice generator and 5-place water massage bath.


Ventspils Blue Flag Beach

The seashore has almost an 80 m wide beach of fine white sand and dunes that in some places reach a height of 9 m. The Blue Flag Beach stretches for 1.2 km. Equipment on the Beach allows also disabled people to take a rest at the sea: they can reach the Beach using plank-ways and dwell on specially designed platforms.
