Rundale Palace and Museum
The Rundale Palace is set amidst the productive Zemgale Plains in the south of Latvia. Most of the interior decorations were built between 1765 and 1768 when a sculptor from Berlin Johann Michael Graff, and Italian painters from St. Petersburg Francesco Martini and Carlo Zucchi worked at the palace. The representation rooms in the eastern flank of the palace – the Gilt Hall, the White Hall, and the Great Gallery – are open to everyone. The central block adapts the Duke’s suite with reception booth and private rooms, and the eastern block – a fully reinstated suite of Duchess’s rooms.
The Old Town of Riga is (naturally) the city’s historic and geographic centre, located on the right bank of the Daugava River. Only remnants of the fortification wall remain that enclosed the city from the 13th to 18th century. But the narrow streets of cobblestone and a crowd of Medieval architectural miracles are still standing, first and primary being the churches and their steeples – making for an exclusively unique skyline.
Aglona Basilica was constructed in the late baroque style and it is ornate with two 60 metre high towers. Every year on the 15th of August, pilgrims meet in Aglona to mark the day of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary into Heaven. This is one of the best known holy sites in the world.

Gauja National Park
The territory is appointed to protect the ancient valley of the Gauja River and the unique natural values of its surroundings. One third part of all Latvian natural preserves and more than 500 cultural and historical monuments can be found here. The Park is located in Amata, Cesis, Inčukalns, Krimulda, Ligatne, Pargauja and Sigulda Regions.

Turaida Museum Reserve
Turaida Museum Reserve is a cultural landmark with specific secure status. The Museum Reserve appear a medieval castle, a church, a manor, the Dainas Hill and the monument to the Rose of Turaida.

Liepaja is also known as the city of breeze. Liepaja is situated in the south-west of Latvia, 220km from the capital, Riga. The city is surrounded by water on two sides – the Baltic Sea on the west, Lake Liepaja on the east, and a commercial channel in the middle connecting both banks. Modern Liepaja originated in the second half of the nineteenth century when the development of railway made industry important. This can be seen in the modern architecture, where the accents of industrial buildings are still present in the cityscape. The Port of Liepaja provides transit routes.
Liepaja is the third largest city in Latvia in terms of population. It is a regional centre, home to Liepaja University, a theatre, and other cultural and tourist attractions. Liepaja is a place to enjoy art, music and beach activities.
Ventspils located in the western Kurzeme region, on the coast of the Baltic Sea, and has the River Venta after which it was named running through it. The town area includes the old town, the forest lowlands, and the Blue Flag beaches which symbolise a clean environment and good water quality.
