Tallinn old city
Tallinn’s Old Town interest from the first moment. Surrounded by huge city walls and numerous towers, the Tallinn Old Town with its many limited streets and staircases, gates and towers looks like a labyrinth.
Many of the houses, some of which date back several centuries and now adapted apartments, restaurants or small shops, still have the original styles. In these surroundings, plenty of tourists feel like back into the long history of Europe.
Lennusadam Seaplane Harbour
The most interesting European museum is located in the Seaplane Harbour, where the exhibition in the historical seaplane shed tells you stories from under the water, on the water and above the water.

Toompea Hill
Crowning the impressive Old Town of Tallinn is Toompea Hill, one of Estonia’s most attractive and charming areas. With a breathtaking range of architectural diamonds and sites of historical importance, the hill is truly a must-see area for visitors to the city.

Town Hall Square
Town Hall Square today is plays an important role. In summer it is filled with outdoor cafes, plays host to the Old Town Days and other medieval festivals, is a venue for open air concerts and marts and more. In winter it becomes a wonderful Christmas market. The tradition of celebrating Christmas festivities here born in 1441, when the Brotherhood of the Blackheads are thought to have erected the world’s very first Christmas tree.
Kadriorg Park
Kadriorg Park is the most outstanding urban park in Estonia, around 70 hectares. Its build in 1718 on the orders of Russian tsar Peter I. The most popular places for a walk in the park are the flower beds surrounding the Swan Pond and the promenade leading from there to the president’s palace.
There are several of museums in the park, including KUMU (the Estonian Art Museum), Kadriorg Art Museum and the Mikkeli Museum, as well as monuments to such cultural figures as sculptor Amandus Adamson, author F. R. Kreutzwald and artist Jaan Koort.
Alexander Nevsky Cathedral
Most decorated Russian Orthodox church in Estonia, designed in a mixed historicist style, was completed on Toompea Hill in 1900, when Estonia was part of the Czarist Empire. The well-maintained cathedral is one of the most monumental examples of Orthodox architecture in Tallinn. Tallinn’s most strong ensemble of church bells is located in the church towers. It comprises 11 bells, including Tallinn’s largest bell, which weighs 15 tonnes.
Rocca Al Mare Open Air Museum
The Estonian Open Air Museum is a life-sized reconstruction of an 18th-century rural/fishing village, which comes complete with church, inn, schoolhouse, several mills, a fire station, twelve farmyards and net sheds. The site spans 79 hectares of land and contains 72 separate buildings and is located 8 km to the west of Tallinn city center at Rocca al Mare. Established in 1957, the museum showcases 68 farmhouses assembled into twelve farmyards from North, South and West Estonia.
Kumu Art Museum
Kumu art museum opened in 2006, is the new and grand headquarters of the Art Museum of Estonia, which attracts everyone that is interested in Estonian art and culture. Both Estonian art classics as well as the works of artists that develop modern trends are on display at Estonia’s largest museum. In 2008, the Kumu Art Museum was recognized as the best museum in Europe and the winner of the European Museum of the Year Award. The Award is presented by the European Museum Forum, the activities of which are supported by European Commission.
